If you need to purchase or rent a home in Lake County, by all means give Ray DeLao at Foundations Homes a call! Ray bills himself as the "most casual" realtor you'll ever meet, and it's true. That doesn't mean he's sloppy, or doesn't know his business.
Ray knows more about real estate than some real estate lawyers, and more than a lot of agents and brokers.
Ray represented our interest for a rental. He took into consideration factors that made the search different from the "average" search. I don't think there was a day when I didn't have an email showing me yet another property that might meet our requirements. He made the phone calls. He did the footwork.
There was a point where we were strongly considering a particular rental. The owner's agent was never available, never had the correct information; in short, the owner's agent was very sloppy and not a good agent. It was Ray DeLao who ran with the rental, being willing to also do some work for the owner. The rental did not proceed at our request, due to problems with the lease on the part of the owner and his agent. Ray never complained, just started finding us more rentals.
I'm happy to say Ray found us the perfect rental! He did it while also going through the birth of a child.
I'm old enough to have been through the rental and buying process more than a few times. We will return to Ray DeLao when we are ready to buy in three years, and now recommend him to all who ask us if we know a good real estate rep.
